At this year’s Aspen International Partners Workshop, “SparkLab 2026,” held June 5–7, 2026, in London, representatives from twelve international Aspen Institutes gathered to exchange ideas on program design, organizational development, and best practices. The focus was on mutual learning and strengthening the shared network. Aspen Germany’s Office and Communications Manager, Julia Kliemann, had the opportunity to participate in this year’s workshop.
The workshop began with a half-day Aspen seminar and was complemented by interactive discussion sessions in which participants could exchange ideas on program approaches, alumni engagement, and the history and mission of their respective institutes. In the “Partner Perspectives Sessions,” colleagues from the international network presented innovative projects and collaborations and shared insights into their experiences, challenges, and models for success.
A key outcome of the week was the shared desire for even closer collaboration and more opportunities for exchange across national borders. After the two days, participants returned with new ideas, practical insights, and strengthened relationships – an important foundation for further expanding the network’s impact.
