Fünfte Austauschrunde 2025
Die gesellschaftliche Transformation und der Rückgang des sozialen Zusammenhalts stellen über den Atlantik hinweg eine gemeinsame Herausforderung dar. Wo soziale Erosion herrscht, scheitern Gesellschaften. Zur Bewältigung dieser Problemfelder bietet die Laboratories of Democracy Initiative Landtagsabgeordneten aus Deutschland, den USA und Kanada eine Plattform für den Austausch innovativer Ideen und Best Practices, die für eine positive Politikgestaltung nötig sind. Neben Fragen der politischen Führung, der subnationalen Diplomatie und der transatlantischen Zusammenarbeit dreht sich die fünfte Austauschrunde um das Kernthema des sozialen Zusammenhalts und der Macht der Zugehörigkeit.
Das Aspen Institute Germany wird im Rahmen der jährlichen Laboratories of Democracy Initiative zwei fünftägige Präsenztreffen zwischen Landtagsabgeordneten aus Deutschland, den USA und Kanada veranstalten. Die erste Delegationsreise fand vom 25. Februar bis 1. März 2025 in Dresden, Sachsen, statt, die zweite wird vom 13. bis 17. Mai 2025 in Toronto, Ontario, Kanada stattfinden. Zwischen Dezember 2024 und Juli 2025 werden außerdem eine Reihe von interaktiven digitalen Sitzungen abgehalten.
