Aspen Germany hosted an official MSC Side-Event in the format of a panel discussion to explore the role influencers play in information production and dissemination and inspire deeper reflection on how their impact can either bolster or threaten democracies. This event, Scrolling for the Truth: Rethinking Influencers as the First Line of Defense Against Disinformation in Central and Eastern Europe, was moderated by Dr. Stormy-Annika Mildner, and featured three Central and Eastern European influencers, including one from Ukraine, a government representative, and a speaker from one of the major social media platforms.
In addition, Aspen Germany hosted an event to discuss the role of youth engagement to enhance peace and security in the Balkan region.
