The third and final event of the 2025 AI Tech Dialogue titled “Geopolitics Meets Cybersecurity – The Human-AI Dynamic” will take place on June 16, 2025. This event will offer a platform to jointly discuss the opportunities and risks of AI adoption for cybersecurity processes. Together, we want to explore how AI is already used in threat detection in both the private and the public sector and how these AI systems are targeted by malicious actors. Furthermore, we will critically highlight the role of human oversight and debate how reliant—or even over-reliant—we already are on AI systems. Finally, we also want to discuss ethical, geopolitical, and governance aspects such as the dependence on non-EU AI tools, balancing data privacy concerns, and the role of regulation. By bringing together key players from international institutions, governments, and the private sector, this event – hosted in collaboration with Microsoft Germany – will explore how international institutions, governments, and private entities can apply the strengths of AI to mitigate critical infrastructure security threats. Attendance is by invite only.
