On March 14, 2017, the Aspen Institute Germany’s Public Program hosted an exclusive discussion with Robby Mook, veteran Democratic political operative and former campaign manager for the 2016 Hillary Clinton presidential campaign. In a conversation with Rüdiger Lentz, Executive Director of the Aspen Institute Germany, the main themes of the 2016 election campaign were discussed, as well as how the Clinton team attempted to respond to alleged Russian interference in the U.S. election. The discussion highlighted questions about how to tackle fake news, especially in election contexts like the 2016 presidential campaign and the German Federal Election in September 2017.
