As the pace and pressures of international affairs continue to intensify, and leaders are called to make ever more complex decisions, moments of reflection on how we use our time and attention become all the more valuable. It was thus our pleasure to have welcomed back Carol Gluck to Berlin for this exclusive gathering of the “Philosophy and Practice” alumni where we discussed a philosophical text on the shortness of life and the importance of how we spend and utilize our time. Hosted in the welcoming environment of the Colombian Embassy with  Ambassador Yadir Salazar Mejía on October 15, it was an opportunity for alumni of different cohorts following the transformative experience of the Aspen Germany Leadership Seminar to exchange both on a philosophical but also personal level on these crucial issues in such uncertain times. After this philosophical exchange, the floor was open to personally connect and network with alumni from other cohorts. Participation was for alumni of the Philosophy and Practice seminar only.
