At the second virtual meeting of the ‘Future Cities Go Glocal’ initiative on 3 December 2025, participants listened to presentations on the political structures of Berlin and New Delhi. Governance experts provided insights into the fundamental political systems of both cities, focusing on the role of cities in shaping policy and implementing change. This session provided participants with a deeper understanding of how urban administration works in each city, including the distribution of responsibilities between city, state and federal governments. This promotes a clear and informed dialogue about the future of urban spaces.
