Aspen Germany is honored to welcome Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany, Oleksii Makeiev, on April 30, 2025, from 09:00 to 10:30 a.m., to a Fireside Chat. The conversation will focus on Ambassador Makeiev’s time in Germany as well as his perspective on the current situation in Ukraine and on the global stage. Where does he see Ukraine’s role in Europe — and the Europeans’ role in Ukraine? What does it mean to be the ambassador for a nation at war? And what is his vision for Ukraine, both in the immediate future and in the long term? The intimate atmosphere of the fireside chat gives participants the opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at the work of those who shape society and policy. We look forward to a thought-provoking exchange between Mr. Makeiev and Dr. Stormy-Annika Mildner. Participation is by invitation only.
