Digital security has become a defining issue of geopolitical stability. Cyberattacks on critical infrastructure, state-sponsored disinformation, and growing technological dependencies illustrate how closely security, economic resilience, and digital sovereignty are intertwined.
Against this backdrop, the Munich Cyber Security Conference (MCSC) 2026 convened international decision-makers from government, industry, the military, and academia on February 12-13 at the IHK Munich. Discussions focused on the evolving threat landscape, strategic responses to state and non-state cyber actors, and the development of international cyber norms. Particular attention was given to strengthening critical infrastructure resilience, the role of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity, and enhancing cooperation between the public and private sectors.
Aspen Germany supported the MCSC 2026 as an institutional partner. The Institute led the conference’s social media coverage and will author the official conference report, ensuring that key insights and strategic takeaways reached a broader audience beyond the event itself.
