As part of the RESET initiative by Aspen Institute Germany, the 2026 cohort convenes in Wiesbaden for its second in-person study trip, focusing on transatlantic security and cooperation. Building on prior virtual foresight workshops and the study trip to Norfolk, Virginia, participants engage in discussions with experts and practitioners, gaining further insight into key security challenges shaping the transatlantic partnership. The program includes site visits and exchanges with stakeholders working in relevant policy and institutional contexts. In addition to the thematic focus, participants take part in cultural excursions that provide deeper exposure to the region and foster informal exchange, strengthening mutual understanding across backgrounds. RESET runs from 2026 to 2028 and combines virtual workshops with in-person exchanges to build long-term transatlantic networks among young political leaders from Germany and the United States.
