The discussion was moderated by Dr. Stormy-Annika Mildner, Executive Director of the Aspen Institute Germany, and brought together high-level experts from politics, business, and civil society. Participants explored whether the European Union’s current approach toward the United States remains effective or whether the EU should adopt a more assertive stance in trade negotiations. The conversation also touched on the future of the liberal trade order and its vital role, as well as the continued importance of the transatlantic relationship in light of current geopolitical challenges. The exchange offered valuable insights into the evolving dynamics of transatlantic cooperation and highlighted areas for future collaboration.
