From November 10 to 14, 2025, the Aspen Institute Germany in cooperation with the German Federal Foreign Office, is organizing a delegation trip to Germany for U.S. state legislators from Florida to discuss innovation policy in the aerospace and defense sectors at both the national and subnational levels.
Innovations in cutting-edge technologies are transforming security, the defense and aerospace industries, as well as policy-making itself on both sides of the Atlantic. This delegation trip will offer a select group of U.S. state legislators from Florida a front-row seat to Germany’s high-tech landscape, with exclusive access to leading companies, emerging start-ups, and senior policy makers in Berlin and Bavaria. From the Bundestag to the Bavarian State Parliament, and from semiconductor and aerospace innovators to pioneers in DefenseTech, participants will engage directly with those shaping the future of transatlantic armament and space exploration cooperation. Alongside discussions on pressing issues such as supply chain resilience in high-tech industries, European ambitions in space, and the accelerated armament of Germany, the program provides a unique opportunity to exchange best practices, deepen personal networks, and strengthen the U.S.-German partnership at the heart of global innovation.
