To what extent are the German elections 2017 important to the USA, France, Great Britain, and Poland, and how do these countries view the upcoming election? These questions will be at the center of a discussion hosted by the Aspen Institute Germany in cooperation with Deutschlandfunk with four foreign correspondents on September 20, 2017. Jeremy Cliffe, Berlin bureau chief for The Economist, Matthew Karnitschnig, chief Europe correspondent at Politico, Rosalia Romaniec, Polish journalist and managing editor East-Central Europe at Deutsche Welle, and Pascal Thibaut, correspondent at Radio France Internationale, will talk about the German election with Burkhard Birke, editor at Deutschlandfunk. The discussion will be broadcast live at 7:15 pm on Deutschlandfunk.
