Association of Friends of the Aspen Institute

In 1989, the Friends of the Aspen Institute was founded with the goal of not only financially supporting the work of the Aspen Institute Germany, but also actively working toward the realization of a free, just, and diverse society.
Your contribution enables us to drive change through dialogue, leadership and action. We bring together people from all sectors of society and provide a platform for open dialogue with the goal of identifying and implementing practical solutions to the biggest challenges we face.

Our work – and the impact we have on people and society – would not be possible without your financial support.

As a member of the Friends of Aspen Germany, you will have access to our programs and publications, depending on your interests. Event formats range from conferences to evening events in an exclusive atmosphere to confidential discussion groups. Aspen members can actively participate in expert discussions on current global challenges while making valuable new contacts.

We can discuss membership in more detail in a personal meeting – contact us!

Individual Membership

Individual members gain access to Aspen’s global network. They receive personal and non-transferable invitations to the Institute’s Public Program as well as to selected Policy Program events. These events offer members the opportunity to engage in conversations with high-level experts and decision-makers from Germany and abroad and to make new valuable contacts.

Aspen members receive the newsletter “Aspen Inside” about three times a year with news about the Institute and the “Verein der Freunde” as well as updates on past and upcoming events. Aspen publications, such as the annual report and official conference papers, can be requested from the Institute for free.

Individual members support the Aspen Institute Germany with 500€ annually. Individuals up to the age of 35 may join as junior members for a reduced membership fee of 250€.

Individual members receive a 10% (350€) discount at Aspen Germany’s Leadership Seminar. They may use this benefit once. If you decide to become an individual member within six months of your seminar participation, your first annual membership contribution will automatically be reduced by 350€.

Family, gift, and mentoring memberships are available upon request.

Membership donations to the “Verein der Freunde” are tax-deductible in Germany, the EU, and in the United States.
