Russia’s war against Ukraine has sent a shockwave through the world. The attacks on the people of Ukraine since February 24, 2022, are an attack on all who are committed to a values-based society and democracy – Aspen’s core values. Aspen Germany stands by Ukraine and would like to express its solidarity by continuously engaging with policymakers, reporting on developments in the war, and informing the public at the same time. For this purpose, the Public Program launches the new event series “The Future of Ukraine”. Apart from reporting on the war, the objective is to take a look into the future: How can the reconstruction of Ukraine be organized and financed? Should goals of a green agenda already be considered now? What does the path to EU membership look like? What progress can be made?
