Policy Program | Exclusive Dinner and Discus-sion on the topic “NATO's Future – Mobile, Fit, and Ready?” with General Philip M. Breedlove
On September 24, 2018, the Aspen Institute Germany hosted an exclusive dinner and discussion with General Philip M. Breedlove, 17th Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) of NATO, Commander, U.S. European Command, on the topic “NATO's Future – Mobile, Fit, and Ready?”. The July NATO Brussels Summit outlined a number of new institutions, capabilities as well as reinforcing commitments on spending, territorial defense, new threats and ongoing operations like Afghanistan. The dinner provided an opportunity to assess NATO’s goals and priorities post-Brussels in a frank and off-the-record conversation with General Philip M. Breedlove and a small group of senior representatives and experts of the Berlin foreign policy community. This event was generously made possible by the Lockheed Martin Corporation.
