    Policy Program | V4-Germany Forum 2018 - Political Economy of Central Europe
    The Aspen Institute Germany hosted a closed conference on “Political Economy of Central Europe” in cooperation with The Aspen Institute Central Europe and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic in Bratislava. On November 05, 2018, a total of 28 participants from Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, and Germany engaged in discussions on the political economy of Central Europe, focusing on common interests of the Visegrád countries and Germany, but also highlighting the challenges in V4-German cooperation. Main focus of these discussions were topics such as brain drain, closer cooperation among the V4 as well as the further development of cooperation with Germany, particularly in the fields of knowledge transfer, joint research, etc. The purpose of this multilateral forum was to support new cooperative approaches to address the common challenges.
