Selection committee for the German Chancellor Fellowship
The selection committee for the Chancellor Fellowship for future leaders from the United States of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation has finalized its selection process in late April. Dr. Stormy-Annika Mildner, Director of the Aspen Institute Germany, is a member of the committee.
The fellowship program is aimed at internationally-oriented emerging leaders from the United States, Brazil, South Africa, India, and the People’s Republic of China who bring along first leadership experiences. It enables aspiring decision-makers from various fields of work to come to Germany for a year and carry out independent research projects during this time. These are to address global and relevant issues of our time and have the potential to have a lasting impact on society.
The Fellowship offers the fellows a place for intercultural dialogue and thus the opportunity to deepen their expertise, gain new experiences, and build an international network. Through their new networks, the fellows create a sustainable link between their home countries and Germany. The impact of the program thus extends far beyond the actual fellowship stay.
This fellowship programme is under the patronage of the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany and is financed by the Federal Foreign Office.
The Aspen Institute Germany is pleased to again having been involved in the selection of the scholarship recipients from the United States through its director.
