From July 1-3, 2024, the “Think20 Brazil Midterm Conference” will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The T20 is a G20 engagement group that brings together think tanks and research centres from G20 members and guest countries and organizations. The Aspen Institute Germany is contributing to the T20 by writing a policy letter. and by being a member of the Task Force Strengthening Multilateralism and Global Governance.
Following the principles of inclusiveness, representativeness and effectiveness, T20 Brasil will seek to engage a large number of national and foreign think tank, particularly welcoming more African Think Tanks, and have a broader impact on the G20 official policy processes (Finance and Sherpa tracks).
It will also build stronger links with other engagement groups so that recommendations and policy options produced as part of the T20 Brasil discussions reflect a comprehensive understanding of the issues at stake and enjoy stronger support and legitimacy.
