The QAnon conspiracy theories are a mixture of substitute religion, right-wing pseudo-mysticism, social event and fake news entertainment. The movement is gaining more and more followers around the world, not only in the United States. How can this phenomenon be explained and how dangerous is it for democracy? How do tech companies regulate content associated with such conspiracy theories on their social media platforms? And what role do social media platforms play in the 2020 election?
