It is a true summit marathon taking place in Europe these days. The heads of state and government of the G7 and NATO members are meeting, as are the leaders of the European Union and the United States. For Joe Biden, it is his first visit to Europe as U.S. President. The agenda is packed with issues on economic, financial and trade policy as well as international security and defense policy. What can we make of the results in economic and trade policy? What are the consequences for transatlantic relations? What did the leaders agree on in the area of foreign and security policy? What does this mean for the Western allies? Podcast hosts David Deißner, Atlantik-Brücke, and Stormy-Annika Mildner, Aspen Institute Germany, discuss these questions with Lisa Nienhaus, economic correspondent and head of the Frankfurt bureau of the weekly newspaper DIE ZEIT, and Thomas Gutschker, political correspondent for the EU, NATO and Benelux countries at the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ).
“America’s Choice – Der USA-Podcast” is a German-language podcast on U.S. politics, co-produced by the Aspen Institute Germany and the Atlantik-Brücke. The podcast is available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and other platforms.
