Background Briefing on the London Summit and the Berlin Process with Matthias Lüttenberg, Christiane Hullmann and Tobias Flessenkemper

On July 12, 2018, Bundestag staffers and civil society experts were invited to the Aspen Institute Germany for an informal evaluation of the London Summit and the Berlin Process. Matthias Lüttenberg, Deputy Head of Division 212 (Bilateral Relations with the States of Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe as well as Central Asia and the Southern Caucasus) at the Federal Chancellery, and Christiane Hullmann, Deputy Head of Division 209 Western Balkans in the Foreign Office gave an overview of recent developments. Concluding, Tobias Flessenkemper, Senior Fellow and Balkans Project Director at the Centre international de formation européenne (CIFE), evaluated the five summits in the context of the Berlin Process from a civil society perspective.
