On February 17, 2019, the Aspen Institute Germany hosted an informal breakfast briefing on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference with Ambassador Kurt Volker, Executive Director of the McCain Institute for International Leadership, and Peter Beyer, Member of the Bundestag and the German government’s Transatlantic Coordinator. The participants discussed current U.S. foreign policy challenges, the state of transatlantic relations, as well as their main takeaways from MSC 2019.
