Brown Bag Lunch on “Macedonia One Year After the Political Crisis: Progress and Remaining Challenges on its Way to Euroatlantic Integration”

    • June 15, 2018

On June 15, 2018, the Aspen Institute Germany hosted a roundtable discussion with Simonida Kacarska, Director of the European Policy Institute, and Sabine Stöhr, Head of the Western Balkans Division of the German Foreign Office. The topic of the roundtable discussion was “Macedonia One Year After the Political Crisis: Progress and Remaining Challenges on its Way to Euroatlantic Integration”. The speakers provided insights into Macedonia’s current EU accession prospects as well as the country’s current political and economic situation, and the implementation of reform priorities, one year after the Macedonian government came to office. A prominent topic of the discourse was the compromise in the name dispute that was found just a few days before the event and the road ahead for its implementation.
