On February 28, 2018, the Aspen Institute Germany hosted a Brown Bag Lunch on “The Trump Administration’s Trade Policies in Theory and in Practice” with Peter S. Rashish, Senior Fellow and Director of the Geoeconomics Program at AICGS, and Fabian Wendenburg, Deputy Head of the Department Strategic Planning and Coordination at the Federation of German Industries. After a welcome by moderator Tyson Barker, Program Director and Fellow at the Aspen Institute Germany, and introductory statements by the two speakers, the participants discussed the current U.S. trade policies under the Trump administration in general as well as their implications on international trade and on transatlantic trade relations in particular.
