    • April 04, 2017

On April 4, 2017, the Aspen Institute Germany and the Liberal Club Berlin-Brandenburg hosted a book presentation and discussion with Professor Dr. Claus Dierksmeier, Director of the Global Ethic Institute at the University of Tübingen. The center of discussion was his new book “Qualitative Freedom: Self-Determination in Cosmopolitan Responsibility.” In a discussion with Rüdiger Lentz, Executive Director of the Aspen Institute, Professor Dierksmeier explained his book’s five core theses and outlined his understanding of freedom. The participants further talked about different concepts of freedom, their consequences, and what freedom means in the context of contemporary issues like terrorism, climate change, or digitalization.
