On April 24, 2019, the Aspen Institute Germany hosted a discussion with Janina Kugel, Chief Human Resources Officer and Member of the Managing Board of Siemens AG, on “The Future of Work: How Digitalization is Revolutionizing the Workplace.” The discussion at the China Club Berlin offered the opportunity for an exchange on the challenges and opportunities of digitalization as well as on strategies to actively shape the future of work. Janina Kugel provided valuable insights into the efforts of Siemens to use digital change to its advantage and to prepare different generations of employees for new work demands. The discussion also dealt with the social responsibility of companies in light of profound societal changes for example through digitalization and demographic change.
