On July 5th, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. CEST, the Aspen Institute Germany and the Institut Aspen France, in cooperation with Fondation Prospective et Innovation, hosted an exclusive roundtable discussion on “Franco-German Dialogue: The Future of Europe in a Contested Geopolitical and Geoeconomic Environment”. The focus of our event was on the Franco-German relations and the future of Europe. More specifically, we discussed geopolitics and the role of the EU in the world, the energy transition and climate policies as well as the future of trade.
For this discussion, we brought together a delegation each from France and Germany, representing the national think tank, political and economic landscape. We are honored to announce the participation of former Prime Minister of France, Jean-Pierre Raffarin. Executive Director of Aspen Germany, Dr. Stormy-Annika Mildner, moderated the roundtable discussion.
