On June 10, 2024, a tenth digital workshop for participants of the second cohort of the project “U.S.-German Forum Future Agriculture” will take place in order to continue discussing and finalizing their recommendations developed over the course of the forum. A core goal of the project is for the participating farmers and other stakeholders to generate recommendations on the respective focus topic each year, to be published in a joint publication. The forum brings together eight German and U.S. farmers and other agricultural stakeholders to promote innovative solutions for a sustainable future for agriculture and rural areas. The project also aims to strengthen the transatlantic relationship through collaborative exchang10s in rural areas and the agricultural sector as a whole. This second cohort involves participants working in the beef and dairy sector in northern Germany and the U.S. East Coast. The project is supported by the Transatlantic Program of the Federal Republic of Germany with funds from the European Recovery Program (ERP) of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK).
