On June 17, 2024, the eleventh and final digital workshop for participants of the second cohort of the project “U.S.-German Forum Future Agriculture” took place in order to discuss final recommendations developed over the course of the Forum as well as recap highlights of the exchange. A core goal of the project is for the participating farmers and other stakeholders to generate recommendations on the respective focus topic each year, to be published in a joint publication. The forum brings together eight German and U.S. farmers and other agricultural stakeholders to promote innovative solutions for a sustainable future for agriculture and rural areas. The project also aims to strengthen the transatlantic relationship through collaborative exchanges in rural areas and the agricultural sector as a whole. This second cohort involved participants working in the beef and dairy sector in northern Germany and the U.S. East Coast. The project is supported by the Transatlantic Program of the Federal Republic of Germany with funds from the European Recovery Program (ERP) of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK).
