On March 11, 2024, a fourth digital workshop for participants of the second cohort of the project “U.S.-German Forum Future Agriculture” will take place to discuss common and unique national challenges for their sectors and to begin identifying solutions. This process launches the participants’ process of producing a publication with policy recommendations for the specific topic of digitalization in the dairy and beef industries. The forum brings together eight German and U.S. farmers and other agricultural stakeholders to promote innovative solutions for a sustainable future for agriculture and rural areas. The project also aims to strengthen the transatlantic relationship through collaborative exchanges in rural areas and the agricultural sector as a whole. The second cohort involves participants working in the beef and dairy sector in northern Germany and the U.S. East Coast. The project is supported by the Transatlantic Program of the Federal Republic of Germany with funds from the European Recovery Program (ERP) of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK).
