On April 16th, 2024, the sixth digital meeting of this year’s Laboratories of Democracy Initiative will take place. The focus of the meeting will be on finalizing the definition of critical infrastructures. The 30 participants from Canada, Germany and the USA will discuss their work on the definitions from Mainz and agree on a uniform definition. The goal of the Laboratories of Democracy Initiative is to promote values-based dialog and exchange of ideas on common political challenges at the subnational level. At the same time, the exchange promotes peer learning and helps to build transatlantic networks beyond the capital cities.
The project is supported by the Transatlantic Program of the Federal Republic of Germany, funded by the European Recovery Program (ERP) of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK).
