On June 5, 2023, the fourth digital meeting of this year’s Laboratories of Democracy Initiative will take place for the participating German and U.S. state legislators. During the meeting the participants will finalize their policy recommendations for transatlantic cooperation on structural change and the revitalization of post-industrial spaces. They will build on the preparatory work done during the delegation trip to Düsseldorf in early May 2023 and the first digital meeting in May, 2023. The results of this digital meeting and group work will serve as a starting point for further discussion of relevant recommendations during the joint trip to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, from June 21 to June 24.
The project is supported by the Transatlantic Program of the Federal Republic of Germany, funded by the European Recovery Program (ERP) of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK).
