The fifth digital meeting of the Laboratories of Democracy Initiative took place on June 29, 2023. The German and United States delegates finalized their policy recommendations for transatlantic cooperation in the area of structural change and the revitalization of post-industrial spaces, based on the groundwork already laid by the previous delegation trips to Düsseldorf and Harrisburg in May and June 2023. These findings will be the starting point for further discussions leading up to the publication of the joint transatlantic recommendations.
The project is supported by the Transatlantic Program of the Federal Republic of Germany, funded by the European Recovery Program (ERP) of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK).
