From Juni 11 to 14, 2020, the Aspen Institute Germany will organize the 28th edition of the Leadership Seminar “Philosophy and Practice.” Using the Socratic method, expert moderators guide the participants’ debate on the most fundamental questions of the human condition. With the help of selected philosophical texts ranging from antiquity to modernity, participants will reflect and question the most universal and controversial facets of the human existence, including the role of the individual, the relationship of individual freedom and the order of society, as well as the limits of power. “Philosophy and Practice” is a unique opportunity to reflect and question our own values and the implications for the individual leadership style with participants from across society within a confidential atmosphere.
