The Future of Food and Farming: Food Security in Times of Crisis

    • March 16, 2022

How independent is our agriculture from globalized markets? What conditions are needed to feed the European population safely? What are the effects of the war in Ukraine and higher energy costs on farms? And what is the cost of all this to consumers? On March 16, the Aspen Institute Germany, BerlinDialogue and the Zentrum Liberale Moderne discussed these and other questions with Dr. Bettina Rudloff, Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik, Helga Flores Trejo, Bayer AG, Dr. Martin Frick, World Food Programme and Markus Hümpfer, Member of the German Parliament, SPD. The event was moderated by Annette Riedel (Deutschlandfunk).
