International Conference “Ethics and Artificial Intelligence”

As a collaborating partner, the Aspen Institute Germany is delighted to announce the second edition of the International Conference “Ethics and Artificial Intelligence” that was hosted by the Aspen Institute Italia, TIM, Noovle, and Google Cloud on June 24-25 in Venice (Italy).
With this event, Aspen Institute Italia, TIM, Noovle and Google Cloud promoted an in‐depth analysis and interdisciplinary debate with a number of selected representatives from business, academia, research, institutions, and the media.
The main panel discussions focused on the following topics:
– Transatlantic relations and the geopolitics of data. Shaping the future of Artificial Intelligence in an ethical framework
– AI, cyber security and defense: values and practices in challenging times shaped by technological innovation and sustainable choices
– The paradigm shift of business models and corporate applications
– AI, ethics and sustainability: the way ahead
For these debates, Aspen Italia welcomed a variety of high-level international speakers, including Lucilla Sioli, Director for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Industry, DG, Connect, EU Commission, Brussels; Thomas Söbbing, Professor of Civil Law and Digital Economy, University of Allied Sciences, Kaiserslautern; Fabio Fregi, Country Manager Italy, Google Cloud, Google, Milan; Andrew W. Wyckoff, Director for Science, Technology and Innovation, OECD, Paris and Giuseppe Busia, President, ANAC‐National Anti‐Corruption Authority, Rome.
