Following the two visits of the second round of exchanges of the Laboratories of Democracy Initiative to Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and to New Jersey, the 2022 cohort gathered for the first digital workshop on November 21, 2022, to finalize the joint policy recommendations on climate and energy. One of the aims of the exchange is that the participating state legislators jointly develop multipartisan policy recommendations for the state level and for transatlantic cooperation for the respective focus topic. These recommendations will be published in a joint publication at the end of the program year. The digital meeting on November 21 focused on continuing the work on the state-level recommendations. The participants selected the most important recommendations and worked on fine-tuning the wording.
