The agricultural sector is currently undergoing rapid change. But what transformations are needed to make German agriculture economically viable in the future and thus ensure its continued existence? On October 12, The Future of Food and Farming will focus on the future-relevant topic of economic viability in agriculture. What will the agriculture of the future look like? What political measures are needed to ensure the continued existence of German farms despite climate change, a shortage of skilled workers and changing location factors? How can new technologies help to make the transformation on our farms ecologically ecologically sustainable and economically profitable? We will be asking these and other questions in the 9th edition of our discussion series “The Future of Food and Farming” on October 12th, 2023, from 4:30 pm. CEST on with Prof. Dr. Alfons Balmann, Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies; Karin Gundel Gonzalez, Bayer CropScience Germany; Johannes Schätzl, Member of the German Bundestag (SPD) and Theresa Schmidt, Federal Executive Board of the Bund der Deutschen Landjugend (BDL). The discussion will be moderated by Heike Zeller. Register now and become part of this exciting discussion!
